I'll try to keep this short...we were in the world from 6/8 to 6/13, then came home to have dd7 tonsils and adenoids removed...FUN!
OK...I've never done any food reviews, so I'll try to be brief, yet informative and honest
OHana...one of our 2 faves. expensive, but worth it. DH is major carnivore, big hit with him. DD7 and DD6 enjoyed the games and the food. We will return next trip. Grade: A!
Cindy's Royal Table Princess Breakfast...we won't go back. Too much $ for too little enjoyment. We were promptly seated and immediately served, but the problem was that it was all TOO fast. We were so rushed that we didn't even get to take video of our DD's meeting the princesses. Food was mediocre, nothing special. DH liked the stuffed french toast, I liked the croissants. Eggs were gooey, not enjoyed by me! The only benefit was that we had an 8:15 PS, so they had us fed and pushed out the door just in time for the Fantasyland rope drop...we were on Dumbo's first flight of the day! Grade: C-
Whispering Canyon Cafe...the other of our two faves. Food was good, entertainment was an A+. We are a bit crazy, so we enjoyed the spazzed-out atmosphere. Our DD7 had to stand on her chair and yell--I need ketchup!!!! We promptly got 11 bottles delivered to our table! When our waitress came up and intro'd herself as Heada Lettuce, I flipped out! I remembered reading about her on the DIS a few months ago, and I couldn't believe our luck!! She's was fantastic...worth the extra $ for a good tip! Grade: A!
Cosmic Ray's @ MK...we enjoyed the family chicken meal. $16 for a whole chicken and some really good garlic/bacon mashed potatoes. A good deal and it filled the 4 of us.
Those are the highlights...we had some other counter service and we skipped our PS at 50's Prime Time (the AC'd resort room was SOOO nice and the kids were zonked!).
We ate all bfasts in our room (except CRT) and we will continue to do that...saves lots of $ and we get what we want. Had 2 lunches in our room too, just for the convenience of taking off sweaty clothes, watching TV in our skivvies to cool off after a hot morning.
I guess that's it.......can't wait to try other restaurants next time! Any questions?
