Doing my research...
Know my favorites at WDW but from what I hear at DL and DCA our must gets are...
Reservation at Blue Bayou (my calendar is set, only table service we are hoping for)
Churro
Mint Julep
What else that's unique to DL?
Also, staying at GC should we go over to Goofy's Kitchen? Or Storyteller's?
Any other food tips?

My family loves to get Macaroons at DL. They always have a couple at Jolly Holiday and an Alien one at pizza planet.

As far as Storytellers vs. Goofy's, what is the makeup of your party and when are you going?

DL has a strong quick service game (way better than MK at WDW) so my only advice would be not to eat at the same place twice. There are really so many good choices.

It's me, 51, my son 18, and mom 79 (a very young 79)

I would agree with this. Lots of great quick service options at DL so try as many as you can.

We have done Blue Bayou twice and were not impressed, especially given the cost. Might be good to try though, especially for the ambiance.

We have never tried Storyteller's but have booked it for our upcoming trip. With the kids being older, we don't care too much about character dining, but like to try the buffets.

Churros are definitely better at DL, compared to WDW. I personally love the chimichangas but might be in the minority with that one. Jolly Holiday seems to be a fan fave. My must-dos every trip are a chimichanga and ice cream from Clarabelle's.

Some of my favorites...
  • Soup in a bread bowl from Aunt Cass's Cafe in DCA. Or sometimes I get the Mac and Cheese in the bread bowl. Or you can order the soup on the side and really eat just the bread.
  • Chocolate Chip cookies at Harbor Galley - served warm and amazing!
  • Teriyaki Chicken at Lucky Fortune in DCA
  • Fried Chicken or the Tossed Cobb Salad at Plaza Inn
  • Baked Potatoes at Troubadour Tavern - I like the kind of plain type ones, but there are some interesting ones too
I try branching out, but somehow end up at these places almost every time. Oh I also like Earl of Sandwich (truck is at end of DTD). Or for snacks a Mickey pretzel or the popcorn.
