I go to WDW twice a year and have accepted that their food/concession prices are what they are. Don't like it but....... I was just there a couple of weeks ago and it seemed that they have risen several points and the portions decreased the same! Anybody else notice this?

We live 2 hours away and eat TS/fine dining/signature only in WDW.
Compared to local restaurants with similar quality food the prices are the same to about 25% more but the local places aren't themed as extravagantly as the Disfood places nor do they occupy as valuable real estate.
Disfood is in a slump it seems right now but still viable considering the time it takes to go off-campus to eat.

it's true but it isn't just Disney. it's happening everywhere, noticed it at Burger King the other day. it's just more noticeable at Disney World because we aren't there as often as we are at the grocery store, so it seems more abrupt.

Go to a local chain or even the grocery store and you will see the same thing.

Their costs have gone up because many food prices have gone up. They need to make that money back. This means increased prices and/or smaller servings.

I actually think some food at wdw is cheaper than the food served in my works building and know it is cheaper that the food at the state fair. But agree with all above, the cost of everything is going up.
