Checking out the menus for Cafe Orleans on both the DIS and Allears and there are some big differences. The one on here states 10/10 and the one on Allears states 11/10. Did they really increase things this much?

French Onion Soup, New Orleans Gumbo $3.99 (DIS) vs $8.99 (AE)
Chicken Gumbo Crepe $15.99 (DIS) vs $17.49 (AE)
Monte Cristo $15.99 (DIS) vs $17.49 (AE)

It appeared that almost everything on the menus was raised at least $1 from last month. Is that accurate?

It's quite possible. Disney uses seasonal pricing. Though how much and when they adjust I don't know. There doesn't seem to be much information about it for DLR but there is more for WDW.

On my DL trip in September which is after when DL makes annual adjustments I found alot of the wdwinfo off, by considerable amounts sometimes. AE was sometimes right sometimes wrong.

When I went to WDW last winter AE had perfect pricing, wdwinfo had mostly correct pricing.

If a price increase happened it was late November. We were at Cafe Orleans on November 8. I just did dig out my receipt and it shows the DIS pricing for my Monte Cristo, $ 15.99.

At CO there was for sure a price change AND a portion change...at least for the French onion soup. It used to be around $8 for a big tureen full of the soup; at the beginning of December, it was $8+ for a small CUP of the soup. Now, I know Disney isn't a charity, but come on...that's just not cool. :sad2: If I had known before I ordered, I wouldn't have ordered the soup.

We noticed a big price difference between the Internet and reality during Thanksgiving week last month at Carnation Cafe. The baked potato soup was much more expensive than the price listed on AE. It was definitely a lot more expensive than when I last had the soup at spring break! Still delicious, but I too am a little dismayed over what Disney is charging for a bowl of soup these days.

Looking at my bill from December 6 the Monte Cristo was $15.99.

Sounds like Allears probably has the seasonal prices listed...not sure what day they went up, but I know they do every year and then they come back down in early January....they go back up for spring break (I think it's March this year) and back down....and then up for summer and back down, lol. I'm sure at some point it may not come down as low as it was before, but at least they come down something!

Yet another reason I'm glad we don't go during those crowded days.

If you're going before January 3, be sure to print off this voucher
to get 30% off at specific counter service places if you eat before noon or between 3 and 4:30pm. Might help counteract some of those increases, lol.

Or grab the daily schedule as you enter the parks. That same coupon is printed in there too. Be sure to allow for lines though. We had planned on using the before noon deal at Pacific Wharf today. But then we walked up at 11:30 and saw the line... yikes! There was no way we would have been at the counter by noon, and since we didn't know how strict they would be on the times, we opted for plan B instead.

Thanks for the replies, all. I assumed it was like WDW with seasonal increases. We will be there in mid February so it should be back to normal by then.

Thanks again!:thumbsup2
