Food in WDW

The food is sooooooo great in Disney, when you leave and go to other places, like I went to the beach after Disney, the food did not measure up, to what I had been eating in disney for 8 days.

I agree that most of the food is excellent. I don't think Disney does enough to let people know this. Too many people just think of the counter table restaurants and don't go to the sit down restaurants. We always look forward to wonderful meals at WDW.

I don't find there CS meals to be anything too exciting. But the SD meals rock. Every place we have eaten at anyways. I could go for a Chef Mickey's breakfast right now. Cherry cheese blintz - yummy.

I agree...they have so many yummy options. We ate a professional dinner theatre in our area last night. It was buffet style and I just looked at the food and said to DH how much Disney spoils us. The food was fine...typical buffet food. But WDW does not really have just the typical buffet food...they have so many options that you can get tons of yummy food. Not bland food like we ate last night....<sigh> We are all so spoiled.....

I think that there is so much else to see and do at WDW, the quality of the dining is often overlooked. We have enjoyed pretty much every meal we've ever had at WDW, with just a couple of exceptions. This includes both counter and table service. I can't say the same about our recent visit to San Francisco, a city that is known for fantastic dining. We had a great vacation in SF, and we had several excellent meals. But we also had a few so-so meals, and even the good meals weren't any better than meals we've had at WDW.

ETA - Sugarmouse, our meals in SF were pricier than comparable meals we've had in WDW.
