My kids don't eat much so I hate to buy them food. So I need some ideas of things we can take to the parks besides PB&J, And they cant need refrigeration.
Granola bars (the chewy kind), goldfish, trail mix/chex mix, and fruit snacks all went over well with my 3 year old but she didn't end up eating much in park. She was too busy looking at stuff and running around.
Trail Mix,
. . . no refrigeration
. . . can be crushed and still be edible
. . . dispense as much or as little as you wish
. . . relatively cheap
. . . can be packed in several small "snack size" zip-lock bags
NOTE: Also, if you fall out of the boat on a water ride, they
can used as a flotation device.
Oddly enough one of my DD's favorite Disney snacks is rice cakes (the flavored kind of course). Never eats them at home, but for some reason loves them at the parks.
Mike, Do you mean those dry styrofoam flat rice cakes, or WDW Rice Krispie Treats. Both rice, but apparently from different families. One is good. One is like styrofoam.
We brought individual packs of trail mix and also peanuts - worked out well for us. We had granola bars also, but they got a bit melty. Apples are great and hold up really well being toted around all day, as do boxes of raisins. We also had those pouches of applesauce. The Walmart down there also had pudding in similar pouches, which we didn't buy - but I wish we had because I haven't been able to find them here a home.
