Food & Fun Center to close on September 9th

I was just at the Food & Fun Center having a late meal because until Thursday the grill is open until 12:00 AM since there is a huge covnevtion and I spoke with a manager and she told me the closing date for the Food & Fun Center is now September 9th. When I asked if they would be selling the YOAMD mugs at the temporary counter service location I was told they are not going to have them, because there is no soda machine up there. Instead they will be selling the 20 oz Coca Cola bottles. When I asked how come since they just started the YOAMD mugs, I was told because they ran out of the Contemporary mugs so they had no choice.

I can also report during the night they are renovating behind the lobby desk, so that means a lot of banging and drilling. However I think they are working now because it does not bother the guests during the daytime.

You have just made my day!! The Food & Fun Center will now be open during our entire stay...YAHOO! DS and DH like a hot breakfast before braving the theme parks.

I'm looking at a Contemporary map and I don't see the MK walkway. Where is it located? I'm thinking it is past the bus stop. Help! Thanks

Hi Lori....I can answer that one for you....
And you're absolutely right!! The walkway begins at the bus stop and actually runs along the monorail track towards the Magic Kingdom. It takes about 10 minutes and is a lovely walk!!

We will be there Nov. 15-24 with all of the in-laws and out-laws!

I'm a bit concerned about the temp. counter service. I wanted our stay to be very easy for all of the grandparents. That's why I went with the DP. I hate that there will be limited choices for cs.

My boys (DH included) won't let me change resorts. They have their hearts set on tower, MK view. I want the GF. Next time, I'm picking.LOL We stayed at the Swan in June and I missed my monorail.

I've been reading your dilemma. I can feel your indecision. It stinks doesn't it? Ask the manager for length of stay fastpasses in leu of mugs.

Thanks, Lori. Yes, I know it shouldn't matter about the CS location, but it does. the kids ALL voted for the CR, and they have their heart set on it. I would love to go back to the GF or try the Poly. AAA rates are available for GV and SL at the GF, and GV and LV at the Poly. But I know my kids' heart belong to the CR. Just not sure what to do as we use the F&FC a ton last September for drinks, snacks, etc. And I love the fact that Gaspys is open 24hrs...

The walkway is past the bus stops. As you're about to leave CR property, it'll say "Walkway to Magic Kingdom", and just follow that sidwalk.


Food & Fun Center <333333333

The only thing I'm worred about is the fact that now the arcade is open until 11:30, since it's 4th floor, will Chef Mickey's Express only be open until then too, since it's moving to Concourse Stakehouse location. That was something that kept me on the CR for a while- the fact that F&FC was open 24 hours.
