Anyone know if you're allowed to eat and drink on Disney buses.?

The efficiency geek in me is envisioning using bus time to eat breakfast (Prepackaged Cinnamon roll and a contraband Mt. Dew .... the breakfast of champions :rotfl: )

We have on every trip we've ever taken and I've never read or been told anything different. We usually fill our refillable mugs up every morning at the resort and drink while we're waiting/riding the bus.

The bus driver say you aren't allowed, but I have seen a few people doing it. I think drinking is more acceptable than eating. I've seen more people drinking on the buses than eating.

Really?

I thought you could not have food and drink on busses. OUr trip 3 years ago, driver told me to pitch the coke I was drinking.

herc.

Hmmmm.....maybe our bus drivers have been ignoring us. :scratchin We've never eaten on the bus and I can imagine why they wouldn't allow food or drink, people tend not to clean up after themselves. I would like to know too as I would certainly stop if I knew it wasn't allowed.

Last week when I was at the POP waiting for a bus to MK, the family behind me was waiting for the mom to join them. She joined them with a tray of 3 cinnamon rolls and 2 packages of grapes along with drinks. The kids (older tweens & Teens) and her husband told her that she couldn't bring them on the bus. The bus was just pulling up at this time. The mom took the tray and dumped the drinks and the cinnamon rolls but had the kids put the grapes in thier bags.

I couldn't believe she just dumped the food. The cinnamon rolls looked good too. Her kids and husband seemed shocked that she dumped it too.

I think she was on the dining plan. She should have waited and used her credits at the Main Street bakery. The cinnamon rolls there are outstanding.

Wow. :scared1: She must've been anxious to get to MK. I would've waited for the next bus for a cinnamon roll. :teeth:

I've looked at www.mouseplanet.com, www.disneyworld.com, www.intercot.com, and www.allearsnet.com and haven't found anything on whether you can or can't so far. I would guess no as many people have been told by the bus drivers.

I usually have coffee and a cinnamon roll for my breakfast ... usually while I'm taking my shower in the morning.

I've seen some drivers allow some people with food/drinks on the bus and then block others. It has always appeared to be a bit of a common sense discression thing . . . drivers that will allow adults with bottled water or babies with a baggie of Cheerios on but stop the five year old with the Mickey ice cream bar or people with coffee and no lid. I think if it will be easily cleaned up or have a very low probablility of making a mess they allow it, pretty much, though they in no way have to. Technically it is not allowed.

That does make sense. ::yes::

You are not supposed to eat or drink on the bus. I've never seen anyone eat on the bus, but we bring our refillible mugs with coffee and our water bottles and have never had a problem. We don't drink our coffee on the bus, the bus is too bumpy, we'd probably end up with a lap full of coffee.
