Okay, so I am a crowd hater especially during meal times. Normally, I can deal with Disney Crowds, but when everyone crams into the same places trying to eat meals, I'm hungry, hot tired and crowded. Not fun!

I am going in August. It will be hot. It will be crowded. I'm going with my bf, who doesnt like disney that much in the first place, and hates the heat. I am MOST concerned about lunch, because we will be doing counter service mostly for lunch.

note- we will not be going to MK on this trip...

So, here are my two ideas:
1. Eat at off times...but my question for you, whats the best method for doing this? I want to get up early and get to the parks at opening, so breakfast will be early..eat a snack? Eat lunch Early, then have afternoon snack? What has worked for you?
2. Eat at regular times, but eat at less known places. Any ideas?

I go in August too. We get to the parks early, then eat lunch around 11. It wasn't too busy last year. (I don't believe in waiting in lines. :lmao: ) Then maybe a snack and then dinner when you're hungry again - probably around 4:30-5 or so. Try to avoid the peak times and you'll be okay.

I've been 2x's in August and we don't eat lunch..We eat a good breakfast and have a snack and eat a good dinner...this works for me..and I take a couple of children with me and they are fine with it..I usually make one ressie per day for a sit down meal...it helps with the heat, feet and it's a great time to plan our evenings...good luck with whatever you choose..I will be there in August again this year..same plan, different child:)

Another idea is to hit the early morning hours and get the best rides knocked out and whenever you are ready for lunch go back to the resort (or even resort hop). Most people will be at the parks. Then hit the parks later in the afternoon.

Instead of all CS at lunch, throw in a few ADRs. You'll enjoy quick seating and a lovely meal served to you at your leisure. Lunch prices are lower than dinner but the food is just as good. A great way to try out new dining experiences and explore resorts (remember, great dining isn't only in the parks):goodvibes

I was thinking about doing adr's for lunch on some days, and then dinner on others. What restaurants are the best to go to for lunch? I've almost always done ADR for the evening (except Germany!)
