Has anyone ever tried ordering chinese or pizza from off site? Did you save $$? Who would you recomend, if it is possible?

I was able to order Pizza when I stayed at the Royal Pacific at Universal Studios. When I wanted to order pizza to be delivered to the Contemporary, they told me there would be a $50 min order. I know that if you are staying near AKL it is easier for delivery places to get to you. There are chinese and pizza places that deliver there as well.

I am a New Yorker, and I love New York pizza. Whenever I am in Orlando I have to get some since I am living in Kentucky now.

We ordered pizza at the Contemporary in Dec. 2004 (Dominoes) with no problem , as a matter of fact it was funny because there were tons of people ordering pizza that night, it was cold that night and we decided to stay in the room to eat. We did not spend that much on the pizza maybe $20. My husband did go down stairs to pick it up. The delivery guy was soooo nice he had even brought free breadsticks with the pizza.

we have done it and we LOVE it! The place where we get it from has the BEST pizza in Orlando! It's called Second City Pizza and they are conected to a gas station with a convienence store so they will deliver anything from the store along with the pizza. We got bread and penut butter last time. The pizza in Forida leaves much to be desired but Second City really gets it right! Their number is right in the phone book.

What style pizza is it?? I would guess Chicago style? We might order pizza next time and I am looking for suggestions. Can you give a comparison to a national chain so I can get an idea?

Thanks.
Maggie

More like a New York or Boston style I would guess. It's VERY similar to what we have here. A thiner crust with loads of cheese... but not the kind that come off in one huge chunk if you lift it up. I would have to MAYBE compare it to papa ginos, but I think it's much better then a chain

We had papa johns deliver to OKW in January. We ordered it online! We got 2 one topping pizzas for $25 plus tip. It was much better than the Disney pizza.

Has anyone had Giordano's deliver pizza to their resort? We'll be at OKW next month (3 weeks from today, woohoo!!) and I thought dinner in would be a nice change of pace. Do they charge a delivery fee? Thanks for any replies.

I am a "city"girl from New York (now living upstate). There is nothing like NY Pizza! That being said, FLIPPERS Pizza is truly close. It is the best pizza in Orlando (IMHO) and we order it at least twice during our visit. :goodvibes

We had Giordano's delivered to SSR 12/04. It was great and they brought it to our front door. Their website www.giordanosflorida.com and their phone number 407-239-8900. The menu is on the website. Good luck and let me know if you need any other info. :Pinkbounc

Do you remember if there was a delivery fee charged? I have checked out their website and the pizza looks delicious!!

I don't believe they charge a delivery fee. We have plans to order from them again 10/05 while we are @ OKW. :cheer2:
