Food court

All the moderates seem to have a food court. I am a little confused about the CS food court. I have been reading it is a little different with hostess service and added gratuity? Is that correct?

Are there any deluxe resorts with food courts? I haven't seen that anywhere. Are there any other options if you don't want a sit down meal at the deluxe?
Do they have the refillable mugs at the deluxe? Can't be without them!!
Thanks,

they seat you, .server brings you silverware and gives you a guest check (might ask if you want refills , do not remember). you go to different areas and get your meal, stir fry, grill, salad/soup, bakery, a couple others.each place has a daily special plus other selections. they fix your food and you take it back to your table. some of the selections are more "dinner like" than some food courts might be and I think the plates were real, not paper so you feel like you are not going really cheap!

they charge you a service charge of 10% but according to the cashier only about 4% of that is a tip for the server.

husband got prime rib, baked pot. and grilled veggies,( he used avoucher) I got the "special",stir fry, rice, egg roll and I think something else that also escapes my brain! mine was around $13 I think. the food was good but the tables are really crammed together, more than at pop century ( only other food court I have eaten at) and heavy wooden chairs that are hard to move to the point it is hard to get past with your food as you have to balance your tray and push clumsy chairs aside ...kind of dumb arrangement imo.

I think roaring forks is like a coffee shop/food court atmosphere and capt. cooks(?) at the poly is more like a coffee shop that i think has burgers. GF has a coffee shop/burger place also and the beach club has beaches and cream...I know the poly has mugs and I thinkthe others do also.

I'm not familiar with CSR's set up, so I'm not going to address tha tone, but I'll answer the deluxe food court question. Some of the deluxes, Yacht and Beach Blub and Boardwalk don't have food courts or any quick eat place. All deluxes offer refillable mugs, but at these resorts you must take the mug to a place and have a CM refill it for you. At all the other deluxes with the exception of AKL, they really don't have food courts, really just a snack bar. They do offer some quick meals, hamburgers, hot dogs, chicken fingers, pizza, that that's about it. They usually also offer a special of the day, and their selection is limited. This is also the place where you refill your mugs, and it's self-serve. AKL has the most extensive "food court" for a deluxe, but it no way compares to a food court at a moderate of a value resort. It's MUCH smaller and again the food choices are more limited, but this has the most variety of all the deluxes "food courts".

Here's a link to menus for the resorts:

On this site there are also pictures of the food areas if you click on accomodations and then choose the resort and then photos.

As far as CSR food court, well we hated it! We thought the food at ASSMo was better and had more to offer. The food at the Pepper Market we didn 't like. We would've had no problem paying the 10% extra if we got something for it! Really we were seated and brought drinks, that was it.

At GF there is Gasparilla Grill. It was very good, always something available. The food was fresh and there was enough for us to choose from.

When we stay at BW there is plenty to eat. There are the carts that offer things like hot dogs, fries, etc. The take out window at Spoodles has calzones, pizza, salads, heros. You can get food to go at all the restaurants and eat it at one of the tables on the BW. Also the pool areas have fast food. You can also get food to go at B&C at the BC.
