Okay, that was an old one, right? They don't have the AK village or the Beach Club carousel anymore, do they? What do they still have at the resorts other than the big tree at WL and the gingerbread house at GF? My daughter kept saying, "Ooh, let's go see that!" and I kept having to say, "I don't think they have that this year." Kind of made me wish I hadn't seen the show...

The NEW Samantha Brown show rocked, though! :thumbsup2

was it a holiday special? I remember seeing the carousel at the BC last week (or something to that effect for the holidays)

We just returned from the beach club on Monday, the carousel is there, its BEAUTIFUL, The Boardwalk has a great gazebo with Daisy and Donald. Wilderness Lodge has the tree, Grand Floridian has the gingerbread house, according to the CM at the Poly, they and the Contmeporary dont have anything special, not sure about AKL but CM didnt think they had anything either.

We were very disappointed that there was nothing at the Poly, we made a special trip since we saw the show with Raven

Come check out my trip report.. I have pictures from the BW/YC/BC... ok -- I am desperate... lol

The Contemporary does have a life-sized display, made of mostly chocolate, featuring Pinocchio, Gepetto, and others. It was very nicely done, and a nice surprise. It's located on the 4th floor concourse, near the elevator bank. DH did take pictures of it, but we don't have all our pictures downloaded as of yet, having just returned home on Saturday.

The AKL at the very least should have a tree, similar in size and scope to the WL's.

When we stayed at the BWI in Dec. '05, we took in all the holiday decorations at the Epcot-area resorts, and they had a very neat miniature train display in the YC lobby. The BWI also had a large display in their lobby, made of gingerbread and other goodies.

Of course, the crowning jewel is still the GF. We just stayed there for 3 nights this trip, and all the decorations were just breathtaking!

WDW is beautiful, resort-wide, at the holidays!

The longhouse below wasn't at the Poly? It's usually on the second floor across from the monorail entrance/exit. I took this pic last December.

Does the BW still have the little amusement park display entirely made of edible stuff? It was in the old holiday special, but not in this one, and when she was at BW I didn't see it in the display.

It wasn't there Nov 27 - Dec 6 when we were at WDW. Toward the end of our trip they did have a series of gingerbread themed houses/huts across from the monorail.

Can someone tell me the name of the show with raven. It had started the other night and I wanted to watch but so did my son and it was after his bedtime so I turned it off. The TV in the room didn't have a guide so I wasn't able tog et the name adn I'd like to search my guide and see if its replaying.

TIA,

Charity

I'll see if I can find the name, but yes it was an old one. Comcast had it dated to 2005.

I've been to MVMCP 3 years out of the last 4, and the Boardwalk does something differenct each year. My first year was the same year as the Raven show was taped. The carousel is different this year and I think it's even better. The Yacht Club has the same train set up every year. Didn't go to any other hotels this time, DH wanted to go to JellyRolls instead. :cool1:

Found it. Here is the blurb from Kirby Bartlett-sloan site:

There was an amusement park set up at the BW a couple of weeks ago. I don't think it was edible though.
