We went in December, and the time had been pushed back until 7:00 am. We all met in the lounge. DH and I had something light to "tide us over"...I had half a bowl of oatmeal and DH had a muffin or something. We were both REALLY hungry, and would never have made it...
I really enjoyed the safari, but the best part was that our guide introduced himslef in the lounge before we all left, and asked if we had any questions. I told him I did have a couple of technical questions relating to their breeding program (a genetics question and a sterilization type question) and the type of general anesthesia they used on the animals (my vet who has a large exotics practice was interested). He was able to answer two of the three, and before we were done with breakfast at the Tusker House he had gotten the thrid answer for me.
There was this really gross couple on the safari with us. They were in dirty clothing and they smelled and looked like they hadn't showered in several days. They got to the lounge and took heaping plates of food. Then when we got to the School Room, they immediately went to the buffet for more heaping plates of food, even though the guides had asked everyone to be seated and then wait for a "Tour" of the buffet before we began eating. They ate more food that morning that we would eat in two days, and left looking ill. I guess they felt they had to get their monies worth...
