:surfweb:For those of you who have used MCO before we have a couple of questions if you can help us out.
Once we get to MCO and clear customs and immigration etc we may want to get something to eat before we get the bus to our hotel.
1 Where can we find some quick snacks and soft drinks near the pick-up areas?
2What is available are there just vending machines or fast food counters?

We ate at the Outback last year and it was awful.

Nothing like the restaurants elsewhere. Considering most people eating there are in a rush, the service was incredibly slow, the food luke warm and rubbery and if you want the toilet, you have to trek right back to the boarding area!

Are you talking about when you arrive in Orlando? If so, I don't recall seeing anywhere to eat unless you eat before you get on the monorail. Even so, I'm not sure what's there :confused3

Just wanted to add, when we went in February, we were all desperate for something to drink as the drinks service on Virgin was absolutely rubbish - we couldn't even find a vending machine or somewhere to get a drink of water

There are places to eat before you get on the monorail and also as you get off there are plenty of places in the main airport concourse and hotel - beofre you go down the stairs to baggage reclaim.

I guess I must just have my 'I need to get to WDW' blinkers on and have never noticed :rotfl2:

We always grab something from the shop, just a drink and bag of crisp or something to keep us going!

Joh,
For the next time, when you come through security into the concourse to get the monorailk, if you head (about 100 yards I think) down one of the gate corridors in stead of heading for the monorail, the water fountains are outside the toilets.

Thanks everyone:thumbsup2 we really want to get through as quickly as possible, it's good to know there are are water fountains after security:thumbsup2 Have looked at the MCO maps and guess we'll have to see how much time we have to grab some food just to keep us going until we get to our hotel :surfweb:

If you are with Virgin or Delta the satellite you arrive at has an Outback Steakhouse, Starbucks, Burger King, Nathan's Hotdogs and a couple of smaller kiosks. The paper shop also has a chiller with drinks.

They are all there as you come up the stairs or escalator from immigration but before you get on the monorail to the main terminal.

The main terminal has a great central food court which is straight ahead of you as you come off the monorail and before you go downstairs to collect your bags.

I'm sure there's something there for you. Krispy Kremes for me! Mmmmmmmm!!!

MalcomC ...OOhh don't tease me about the Krispy Cremes... LOL . thanks for the info I didn't see them on the MCO website:confused3 maybe I only saw the airside map I must have been having a blonde moment:confused3 I just hope the whole procedure goes smoothly once we get landside and find the bus to the hotel.:thumbsup2
