Hi, can you tell me what your favourite places to eat are at Downtown Disney. I am open to ts or cs.

Thanks Jo

We really enjoy Raglan Road for TS and Earl of Sandwich and Wolfgang Puck Express for CS.

Our definite standout was Raglan road TS. With House of Blues an unexpected second ( my trip report 'seven years is too long' has lots of updates and food pics from DTD )

Tony

Another vote for Raglan Road TS and Wolfgang Puck express CS :thumbsup2

Loved Raglan Road the first time we went but were sat out the way so could chat. Hated the second time as we were right in front of the stage!

Going to be loads of new places soon.

Wolfgang puck express (def not restaurant) and earl of sandwhich were my favs!

Tried the Cuban and liked it as something different!

I haven't been for 4 years so bit out of date but for what it's worth I always loved Earl of Sandwich, Raglan Road and House of Blues :-)

Take a bus to The Boardwalk and try out the Restaurants there & watch the entertainment

If you are a bit more adventurous take a trip away from Disney & try eating places on Hwy 192 near AK.

Wpe for cs or boat ride to POR
Bongos for ts

The rest is essentially worthless (in my own humble opinion)

Waiting for the new venues at disney springs

I enjoyed the experience of T-Rex. The food was average but it was a lot of fun and my kids still don't shut up about it a year later.

Wolfgang Puck is pretty good for a quick bite.

I really enjoyed getting an Ice Cream at Ghirardelli's.

Remember Wolfgang puck does a nice as brekkie idea for a rest or shopping day. Cornflake French toast yum yum.

For TS would go for raglan road - gers bread pudding!

Thanks all for your advice. It seems that WPE is the run away winner for counter service. I am assuming that is the Wolfgang Puck Express at the Marketplace? I was looking at menus and got a little confused.

I did like the look of the Raglan Road menu but some of the reviews did mention that it was a bit noisy. I think we might give it a go there seeing as most of you seemed to enjoy it.

We will most likely visit the boardwalk on another evening and despite all the work that is going on we would like to visit downtown disney.

Yes, Wolfgang Puck Express is the one in Marketplace. It is my family's absolutely #1 favorite place to eat at DTD! And don't let the fact that it is a QS location fool you. It feels more like a TS restaurant. You walk up to the counter, order your meal and they take it from there. They bring the food to your table, refill your drinks, clear your table, everything! I have NEVER had a bad meal there! The Traditional Margherita pizza and Caesar salad is a meal that DH and I share for lunch often while we are there. The Bacon Wrapped Meatloaf, Cavatappi Chicken Alfredo, and Half Rotisserie Chicken are also family favorites. You can't go wrong at this place!

I think DTD seems a winner from OKW Jo. Hoping we can use the boat the times we want to go but obviously that depends on the weather as I believe any storms (or threat) and the boat will be called off.

We have booked Bongos TS, T-Rex TS as I know the girls will enjoy, and plan on doing a CS at WPE at least once, perhaps twice.

I am almost done with my ADRs now - only got one left to book - Teppan Edo. Have to say, it's been a bit of a pain ringing up each time (I have called 4 times already), as I wanted to book BBB, CRT, a Wishes Cruise and BOG at different times so couldn't wait a few days to book a few at a time. But, at least this way we've got pretty much everything we want, managed to get BOG today and only a 10 mins earlier time than I'd asked for, so happy with that!

Good luck with your ADRs - hope you get what you'd like!

Wolfgang Puck Express has incredible food- their Mac and Cheese is to die for. We also love Earl of Sandwich. If you sign up for their newsletter online they will send you a coupon for a free sandwich! We have never done any ADRs downtown yet

I love Raglan Road- the Bread and butter pudding is worth the visit on its own.

They have traditional Irish music and dancing most evening too.

hi, if you like fish and chips etc, Cook's of Dublin is worth a visit. its just before R.R

cal :)

We loved Wolfgang Puck and ate there 2-3 times. We were on the QS dining plan, so to get your fod brought to you and the use of a proper knife and fork was a relief :-)
We are planning upgrading next time to the DP and hoping to eat at Dinosaur and Rainforest Cafe.

Thanks for all your ideas. I think I've decided that we will just use the QS restaurants at DD. I haven't put specific time on our plan for visiting DD. We will go in any of our rest/relaxation time when aren't too tired or feel like a change of scenery so I don't really want to be making ADRs that there is a good chance I will need to change once we are there.
