I'm thinking the burgers and sandwiches at Beaches & Cream are pretty average -- but would love to hear from anyone who's eaten there for things OTHER than ice cream.

Thanks!

Great burgers but the ice creams the best. We go to BC almost every trip but staying at the BC helps.

My family loves the burgers, they really are very good. Better then anything you will get at CS, they are more of a homemade burger. I got the chicken sandwich too, & it was good. My parents got the hot dog, & they seemed to like it. The menu actually is not very big, except for ice cream. They serve chili, veggie burgers, ceasar salad, & roast beef subs.

My hubby requests the burgers......and a shake....and possibly a sundae!!! It is vacation, right?:rotfl:

Several years ago, Disney apparently switched from the good B&C burgers to the same burgers they serve all over. We had a burger that could have easily come straight from the grill at Peco's Bills (service was so slow, it may have been straight from the grill) about fifteen months ago. Also, they used to use the leftover prime rib from Yachtsmen for their steak sandwich, its now more like steakums. So when you are getting reviews on food, ask when.

At one time I really thought the burgers at B and C were very good. The last couple of years I have to agree with the above.

We ate there this past May 2007, & I still thought they were pretty good. I do like the burgers at Peco's too, so maybe I have bad taste :goodvibes . I like the BC burgers though, because they toast the bun. You should definitely try it though, the atmosphere is cute too.

My Mom and I LOVE the food at B&C! As recently for us as September of '06.

We always split a cheeseburger, and onion rings, and a No Way Jose sundae! :lovestruc

I think for fast food burgers, Disney counter service is pretty darn good across the board. But if you are going out of your way to B&C for the burger they used to serve, or you've been told this is "the best burger on property" and worth going out of your way for, you may have expectation inflation - the first step in having a disappointing experience. That was our B&C experience - the burgers and ice cream had been so overhyped - as was the restaurant itself - that we made time for it. Getting there to a wait at 4:00 in the afternoon, average burgers and ice cream I pass over in the store for the small batch stuff meant my expectations weren't met. (It didn't help that service was slow and the place was the dirtiest Disney restaurant I've ever been in - not helped by the people in swim suits and flip flops tracking sand in from the pool)

Had I had expectations for "burgers similar to what you can get at Peco's Bills - but with a good toasted bun, ice cream that you could dish up at home from grocery store ingrediants, but don't make time to" we either wouldn't have bothered, or we'd have gone anyway with expectations in line with the reality of the place.

We have been to B&C several times. We have always had to wait up to one hour, although there is a take out line just for ice cream.

We had burgers, hot dogs, fries, milk shakes, ice cream and chicken noodle soup, which was very good by the way, with homestyle thick type noodles.

For all the hype this place gets, it needs to be made bigger. The arcade that is adjacent produces annoying noise to the dining area.

Burgers were ok, nothing exceptional, but we like the atmosphere, minus the arcade noise. The tables for 4 are very, very small when trying to eat a burger meal, fine for just ice cream, but it is a juggling act for a meal.

MIL says they make a better chocolate soda here, than Ghiradelli... I know hard to believe, but I agree with her. I have made several comparisons and volunteer for future comparisons. :rotfl:

We were there last November and they were definitely NOT the same as any other burger we had. My DH LOVES their burgers there and like me, doesn't really care for the ones at Pecos Bills. They are okay but kind of blah (and yes, we had burgers at Pecos Bills during the same trip)

I had a bite of the burger, but being pregnant I wasn't into a lot of greasy foods all day long, so I had the grilled chicken sandwich and fruit. My DH loved his fries (I thought they were good too)

Over all definitely WORLDS above counter service and definitely one we will go back to!

Unfortunately Beaches and Cream is one of the few restaurants that DS will not return to. He had the burger and felt it was WAY to greasy. He did not eat it and he will eat anything. I would give it another try, but wild horses can not drag him there.

The inconsistency is maddening. If this place would ALWAYS serve the same burgers as anyplace else, or if they'd ALWAYS serve great burgers - at least you'd know what to expect. To go out of your way and then get the same burger (ours were definitely the same burger - completely different and much better bun - but the same patty) drives me nuts.

I wouldn't call the burgers at Beaches and Cream average - I think they may be the best on property actually. Great fries, onion rings...just good darn food! Great atmosphere. Fun and lively.

We often stay at the Beach Club and we end up eating here a few times.

I just went to Beaches & Cream yesterday! I had a cheeseburger and we split a No Way Jose. The burgers are THE BEST! I am not a big meat eater, but when I want a burger, it has to be a Beaches burger!
