Food and Wine "Tasting Sampler" question

We're headed to F&W in a few weeks and trying to budget. Wondering about the Tasting Sampler. If I understand correctly, you get 8 "tickets" for a food or drink item at $65 plus tax/pp. Nearly all food items are less than that, but there are several drink options that fall in that price range and higher. The website says "certain exclusions may apply and will be listed on voucher." Does anyone know what exclusions those are? It would be helpful to know in advance. Thanks so much for any info!

I've seen it suggested to use the sampler for the alcohol beverages and buy a gift card and use it for the food to get the max value. I'm guessing here-but I bet the exclusions are for the "combo" offerings at a few of the booths.

Not exactly - the 6 ounce pours are all priced around $4.00-4.25. So 12 ounces for $8. 3 beers for $24. (yes, still expensive.)
But yes - do not use your tasting sampler vouchers for beer - pay cash

Of course pay cash...but this thread is about the tasting sampler tabs...which limit you to beers under 6 oz.

Classic lime margarita
Veuve Cliquot
GoGi Pinot noir
Frozen caipirinha
Frozen mojito
Kahluatini from Joffrey's in Canada

That's 8 drinks right there. I obviously won't drink all these in one day, but if I fall in love with any of them, additional samplers will be bought, and I'll try other Joffrey's and drinks in China as well.

We have 9 days, and we're at the Swan so we'll be there every day. Knowing my travel mates, several samplers will be purchased between us.

I thought that too, but PPs have posted that they were able to last year. IDK. I will ask before I order it.
