Hi all-

Can anyone tell me their personal opinion on whether the F & W would be more crowded Columbus Day Weekend or the weekend immediately following Yom Kippur( the following weekend) I am trying to plan a 4 night trip to enjoy F & W and want to know which weekend would be less crowded.

More ppl get Columbus Day off in this country; it's only a few school districts nationally that get any Jewish holidays off (tho we do in ours). Also note that Columbus Day coincides with Canadian Thxgiving and a school break in the UK, bringing in a lot of folks from outside the US (lots of Brits!).

So I think the weekend following the High Holidays should be less crowded. But still, we're talking low crowds all thru October anyway, so either one will be great. In this years' edition of the Unofficial Guide to WDW (very entertaining reading, well worth buying, IMO) they rate the probable crowds on each day in the upcoming year: while Easter, July 4th and the week after Xmas come in at 9s and 10s, the month of October doesn't exceed a 3 (maybe a 4), I believe.

Have fun planning. This family from Mass will be going to F&W over Columbus Day next yr I expect. We're DVC members, so we'll be making our ressies (at BWV) really soon. It'll be our last trip on the APs we're activating next week (oh yeah!).

pumpkinboy- thanks for all your info- i think we may go for the weekend after Columbus Day, next year. We also own at BWV so I can start the 11 month ressie thing next week! I also love the Unofficial Guide to WDW- it's my Disney Bible!!
