Has anyone been to the food and wine fest on the last day? We're many items sold out?

Thanks ☺

I have, but it was SOOOO packed we hardly got to try anything. It was a mad house! We only stayed a short while, we could barely move. I believe it was a Sunday so maybe that was why.

The last day of F&W is the day I arrive... I'm planning to spend the second half of the day in EPCOT catching the Eat to the Beat concert, but other than that, we aren't planning on doing anything with F&W. We have a dinner rez at Monsieur Paul, and just one FP to FEA. We might also browse through Japan. What kind of crowd hell can we expect if we are basically avoiding all the F&W booths? :D

In March of 2014 we snuck in a last minute trip and on the last day we were on the Monorail platform waiting for the train to arrive, chatting with a CM. We mentioned to him that we were coming back in Oct for F&W and the first thing he said was to avoid the last week, particularly the last day due to insane crowds. We already had our Oct dates, not near the final week but that advice stuck with me. Not surprised by this experience.

You can't really 'avoid' the booths - not standing in the lines to get stuff from them is one thing but the people are still everywhere, and they will still be doing the regular things, like going in the shops, watching the shows, and doing character meet and greets. I went on the last day (Sunday) both of the last 2 years and it was pretty crowded. Big lines in Mexico, Germany, America, Japan, France, and Hawaii booths. Still fun. They will not have the passport books though - those are gone by then, and a lot of merchandise was gone as well, but I don't recall any food or drink items being removed from any menus.

That's cool. I purposely have very few expectations of that day... I just got a day free ticket, so I was like, 'Why not'...I'll expect major crowds and just allow extra time to get everywhere.

Are you talking about the last day or the last weekend? The last day last year was a Monday and this year is the same way. We were there last year and the last weekend was insane, but the last day (Monday) was not bad at all. We didn't notice them being out of anything, but we were more into the food versus the alcohol.

I was There on the last day last year (a Monday). I thought it seemed rather busy, but every CM that I spoke with mentioned how light the crowds were!

We went on the last day (a Monday) last year and the crowds were totally manageable. Never waited long for any food items - the worst wait was at the caramel store in Germany! Nothing was sold out that we wanted. We were there in the early evening til after dark.

All I know is that I could not get a Frozen FP right at 7 am on the nose for the last day of F&W but I could for any other day that week. I changed my plans as a result

:tink:WOW, never even thought about items being "sold out". Going to be there the last 2 days this year. Cannot wait, it is my first time. Will probably only do 1/2 day on Sunday and then head back on Monday to hopefully get what we wanted.

I was able to get one without a problem, for 11:05am no less :confused3 It's 8 days into my trip though.

Food, you'll probably have a large majority (if not all!) of the things available to you - with exception of some cheese selections at the cheese booth.

The last week or so, you'll start seeing certain craft beers at the Craft Beer booth run out and be replaced with kegs of things more readily found in-park, same with some of the more high-end wines.

Yes, I think that was exactly the problem. My "first day" is the last day of F&W so I was SOL. But, it's ok. I just shifted AK and EP days.

I guess it's all how you look at it. Last year was our first F&W, expected chaos. I thought crowds were not bad, lines moved quickly. I don't think we waited longer than 15 minutes in any line & were there the last 4 days. We were not there super late any night, so maybe the crowds got huge late. We watched IllumiNations once, the other night we probably left by 9

This will be our first F&W and it's the last weekend. I really wanted a passport and for my daughter to do the Remy Hunt but they will be sold out by then?
