Hello All. I have gotten a new j position at work and now have zero time for myself where I can escape to the boards for a respite at work. And with a two year old at home time there is limited too. Anyway, I am thinking about surprising my DW with a quick three - four day trip the first weekend of November. The purpose is three fold, 1 - we want to go for Food and Wine (we both are a little "foodie") 2 - We both want to see MK decorated for Christmas (from everything I have read is usually done within a day or two after Halloween 3 - kind of a birthday present to myself (my plan so far is to flu out Wednesday late evening (no vacation day for me) birthday is Thursday, fly home Sunday). So I am looking for advice and opinions about F & W and that particular weekend, Crowds, thoughts, anything you can give me since we usually go in early February when the crowds are light (for Disney that is). Any input is appreciated. Thanks

Sunday night Epcot gets crowded bc that's where the after race party is. Other then that we had no real issues this last year with excessive crowds that weekend.

We are going about the same time (Nov. 2-9 or so I think) and plan on doing the dining plan. We'll do some table service meals wherever and use our 2 snack credits per day at the Epcot food booths.

Oh man good call. I had not thought about the snack credits for the food booths. Thanks

We have been doing the festival for 15+ years. We now totally avoid Epcot on Saturday. It is an unpleasant madhouse. So although that weekend may not be " busier" all weekends are very busy.

Yeah, true, though my experience last time we went was that it wasn't too bad on weekends until 1:00 or so (though that wasn't a race weekend). Most people are still in Future World when the World Showcase opens.

So if I pull this off go to Epcot on Thursday? Or is it just on the Weekends?

Yes 11 - 1 isn't too bad. It gets busier with each passing hour. It isn't much time either.

Thursday is best. Friday will be busier and crowds in the evening as locals get off work. But Friday is doable. Saturday is horrible. Sunday is better than Saturday but worse than Friday.

Thanks for the tips. Will definately plan Thursday then. Looks like the flight I can take will get us into Orlando around 10:30 pm. So can sleep in and head over to Epcot by 1100 and enjoy for the day. Thanks for all the advice.

But remember the dining plan doesn't include JUST snacks. So if you're going to be snacking the whole time, when will you use your QS and TS? Take it all into account. :)
