I don't know if this goes here or on the parks forum.

The first day of the Food and Wine Festival is also evening EMH and my sons birthday (27). We were planning on spending the day at EPCOT and I was wondering if the Tasting booths are usually open during EMH.

Also he wonders what size portions you get. He wants to wander the booths instead of doing dinner that night and wonders how much it will cost him to fill up :goodvibes

We just made the reservations Friday ahead of the price increase and I can't wait to get there.

Booths are open during EMH. They are tasting size portions (2-4 bites avg.). Eating a few will fill some people up but others say the portions are too small. Prices range from $2-5 dollars for food items with the Lobster Roll being the most expensive. The prices for sample portions of Wine range from $2.25-10.50 with the champagnes being the most expensive. There are normally two differing size offerings for the beers $3.50-6.00 avg.

it also depends on which tastings you get, b/c some are bigger than others. i also found that the heat (which in Sept in Orlando can still be oppressive, even to a FL native!) kind of took away my appetite. And things like soup are not as appealing in 95 degree heat with 95 percent humidity!

some of the free seminars give you free tastings (or they have in the past!) -- in particular, the Samuel Adams seminar and the Bass ale seminar gave freebies.

Guess I wasn't paying attention but I don't remember the booths being open during Evening EMH's. As I recall the park was open til midnite. Don't remember passing any booths open that late. Could of been I did the Australia wine tour once to many. LOL

The Food and Wine Fest is my most favorite thing to do at Disney!:dance3:

The experience is fantastic and I find that I can hit 2 or 3 booths, take a break for a few hours and hit a few again.

I haven't experienced it in the am, but early afternoon. The side exhibits though have been open early with the park.

On a side note: If you decide to do it later in the evening, the booths go close prior to the start of Illuminations. Get you snacks ready before you sit down to watch the fireworks.
