Food and Wine Crowds?

How crowded is the food and wine festival in early September? We were there last October and it was packed. Just wondering if the crowds grow as it gets closer to Halloween or if it is always crazy on weekends?

It's always crazy on the weekends during F&W. We have been to F&W at several different times and weekends are unmanageable for us regardless of the month - we would like to try things from the numerous booths but the lines are ridiculously long so we have to skip most of the popular ones. With that said, as the day wears on it gets more crowded at F&W regardless of the day of the week you go but during the week the lines aren't quite as long as they are on the weekends. We have also found that on Fridays and Saturdays there are a LOT more obnoxious drunk people stumbling around the World during F&W. Don't get me wrong - my DH and I LOVE F&W and we love to drink our way around the World but we also pace ourselves and don't act like idiots.
