hello -

We will be in Disney for the wine and dine race and staying at Swan. Also have APs. I’ve booked some ADRs but wondering should I book every night - or is it better to just do the booths (since that’s the point of food and wine, right)? Trip with no kids either, which makes a big difference!!!!

Thanks!!

I make very few ADRs during the food & wine festival when I stay in a local resort. I just walk over for dinner at the booths.

You can certainly very easily make a meal out of the booths and if it's a quick trip with a goal of sampling as much as possible, that might be the way to go. I typically make reservations so we have the option and then adjust as we get closer and can see the weather and evaluate the crowds. Personally I prefer a blend - I like knowing I'll have a guaranteed time I can sit down at a table in the AC (or out of the rain), away from the crowds, and have someone bring my food. Not to mention I have so many favorite restaurants that I'd hate to miss. The biggest challenge is stomach capacity!

When my wife and I go "solo" for F&W we stopped making ADRs as we stroll around and hit all the booths. For some reason if we are dying to eat at a restaurant then yes we will, but we found the booths to be adequate and preferable over the table service.

We book every night no matter when we travel. Then we cancel a day or 2 before as we zero in on our plans. No problem canceling, but at times it's impossible to add at the last minute.
We never do F&W, only once and too many intoxicated people to enjoy it.

I go to F&W every year and eat most of meals for the entire week at F&W. Toward the end of the week if I'm getting tired of the booths, I will go to HS and grab a Cobb Salad at HBD or go to Nomad Lounge in AK and get something there. I usually do one or two of the food and wine pairing meals as well. Between the booths, meals and little culinary demos I have more than enough to eat.

We'll eat at some of our favorite places that are easy to get like Olivia's. But mostly we'll eat at the food booths. Or even offsite.
