My DD has a peanut allergy. Do the kid's clubs require you to leave an epi-pen with them just in case of an emergency? I'm trying to decide on how many epi-pens we need to bring with us on our cruise.

I don't think they require it but I always have left one even though my DS never ate in the clubs. They do activities with food and other kids can bring food in. Once they are in Edge then they will not keep it, my DS was responsible for holding it himself.

I spoke to Disney about this, and she mentioned that the kids clubs do carry epi-pens and the staff know how to use them. I think I'll bring an extra and leave it with them just in case.

I have food allergies and when I travel I carry two pens with me my pens are the twinject so they have two doses in each so the equivalent to 4 epis. Bring at least 4. 2 for you 2 for the club.

We were on the Dream in May, my DS was six and also has a peanut allergy. When we filled out the registration forms for him, we also filled out a medication form and went over any food related activities with the counsellor. Whenever we dropped him off, we handed them an Epi-pen, which they kept while he was there, and gave back when we picked him up.

On our cruise on the Magic, the kids clubs (both) had a medical bag for the staff to store epi pens. We ask our pharmacist to put the prescription label on the plastic outer case rather than on the box. If yours won't do this, make sure you put some kind of label on yours so the staff can find it quickly.
