I was in DL in Feb of this year with our 2 boys with food allergies. They are allergic to all nuts & annatto.
The person that I was put in contact with was Chef Chris Justeen, his email addess is:
chris.justesen@disney.com. He was very knowledgable when I spoke with him.
I want to warn you that Disneyland is not as allergy aware as WDW. You will have to ask at every restrauant about the ingrediants. When we where there in Feb, most places just brought out the "box" with the label...so I could check the ingredients myself. The first time it happened I was very surprised. I was expecting them to hand me an ingredients book like in WDW.
We have been to WDW &
DCL many, many times because they are so allergy aware. I was a little disappointed in the fact that DL, was not as allergies friendly as WDW.
In WDW in Dec 2009, many of the chef went out of their way to create special desserts for my sons. Not once did this happen at DL. We were there to celebrate my DS 12th birthday. We had reservations for a nice dinner at Hook's Pointe at DLH...and there was no "safe" dessert...for the birthday boy. I was really disappointed! This had never happend at WDW.
