Food allergies for child too young for dining plan?

We are coming to WDW this fall, and my youngest child (age 2) has multiple food allergies. Our travel agent sent the list to special diets and I just got a confirmation email from them.

Then I realized that she isn't included on our dining plan. So--will she still be able to have safe food made for her, or will I need to purchase a separate meal for her (in which case, can I get her included on the free dining plan?)

Thanks!

At buffets and such you'll be fine to get her something special. At a place where you order off a menu you'll need to purchase her meal just like you would if she didn't have allergies and wanted something of her own.

You can add her to your free dining plan if you buy her child ticket which is going to be more than just paying OOP for a few meals.

Ok, got it. Glad I thought about it now!

Seems silly since the dining plan is free when we go...but I don't want to have to buy her a ticket just for some free food!

Thank you!

You can also request that they make your dish safe for her allergens so that you can share with her. The concept of the under 3 crowd being free is based on them sharing their parents food (except at buffets). The downside in your case is that you'd have to order something that might not be your first choice. But that is another option.

Even at most sit down restaurants kids meals are only $8-$10, not much to pay for piece of mind.
