I don't want to waste a day if many of the attractions are closed.
Which attractions close because of rain?
I know these can be weather affected..
Big Thunder(closed already)
Splash (or is it just thunder/lightning)
Mine Train
Test Track

What about Universal?
Rip Ride Rock it?
Is the new Kong ride impacted by weather?

Some rides will stay open during a light sprinkle like splash or 7dmt. Any decent rain closes basically all outside rides though. Test track, rip ride and rock, and many others will close for rain and if any lightning is within so many miles.

The new Kong ride I believe still runs during the rain, they just cut out an outside portion of the ride

You'll never know when a downpour is going to hit. We stopped worrying about it.
I'm not worried about sporadic downpours, Tuesday and Wednesday are supposed to be rain almost all day. If many of the main attractions are closed Im not wasting the money and using my passes for that day. I'll find something else to do.

Also since we're discussing, what happens if you have a fat pass for an attraction that closes due to weather. Can you just use it when the attraction re-opens

Lightning is the bigger issue. It can be clear skies, but if lightning is still in the area, many outdoor rides will remain closed until it's safe to ride.

DHS is a good choice for a rainy day.

You'll receive an anytime FP when a ride is downed due to weather.

Any attraction that is completely or partially outdoors can be effected by rain/thunder/lighting.

Luckily there are plenty (dare I say the majority) of attractions especially at Disney World that are completely indoors.

We were there in June when some sort of tropical system was coming through. The weather forecast looked horrendous -- supposedly downpours for multiple days. It never materialized. Sporadic rain off and on, pretty much norma for Florida -- we barely used the ponchos. The best advice I can give you is not to worry about it. Weather forecasting is a very inexact science.
