Is there a place to see Flynn Rider in the parks? Of course we will be there 2 weeks BEFORE the character breakfast begins! My son wants to see Flynn and I was hoping since the Tangled show will be starting on the Disney channel at the end of the week that he would make an appearance in the parks. Thank you.

Sorry.

Currently, Flynn can only be seen in Festival of Fantasy parade on the Tangled float.

I will be interested to see what the Tangled Series has in store for the face characters. I imagine it's only a matter of time before Flynn gets a meet and greet outside of a breakfast, and since Rapunzel and Flynn appear to have several new outfits in the show, I wonder if they'll have all new looks for the meet and greets.

He is in the new castle show, Royal Friendship Faire, even some speaking parts.

They've never started or altered M&G based on the newer more modern stories. I can't see it changing now. But I have learned to never say never when it comes to Disney and their changes.
For whatever reason Disney just doesn't see the need for Princes in the parks on a regular basis. They are special event guests only. I guess it gives guests another reason to hit up the Parties?

How many times has this happened though? There hasn't been a show-based-on-a-movie from Disney in, what, almost 15 years? With Lilo and Stitch, and we still see Angel from that show everywhere (though I realize that's more so due to the Asian markets LOVING her). The other movie characters who starred in tv shows didn't have different looks, at least not that I can think of - Ariel and Hercules looked the same in their prequel shows, and Aladdin and Jasmine wore their same outfits most of the time in the Aladdin show. Since Elena has such a large presence in the parks (or at least in the parks advertising) I would imagine the newly reinvigorated Rapunzel and Flynn will too, though I realize Elena is providing a different experience to guests as the first Latina M&G character.

I have always been surprised how few male face characters there are. Gaston and Peter Pan are the only two regularly available ones I can currently think of, and Peter seems to be very difficult to meet since he's only out once or twice a day. I've met Naveen a few times, and Prince Eric once, and they were great. Tiana and Naveen played so nicely off each other, and Eric was really funny (I told Ariel she's my favorite and he said "Hi, we haven't met yet. I'm Eric, her husband")

Thanks everyone. I will have to check out the castle show and/or parade. I'll hold on to some hope that they will bring him out this weekend for the premiere of his show. I'll report back if we find him. I too wish they had more male face characters!

Aladdin meets regularly at MK and Epcot, and Tarzan at AK.

It's a shame that Naveen is now only available at a paid event. He was always great to meet. Same with Flynn and Eric.

Good luck. The show grew on us quickly. We actually go for it and the parade. Never did either in the past.

Sorry about your luck with the breakfast. That would have been the best possible way. But unfortunately Disney doesn't see the need to have the guys out a lot. One of the reasons the breakfast is one hard to get ADR right now. Especially since Prince Eric has been the rarest of the princes over the course of any given year.

In all honestly Disney has really downgraded the character M&G that would be attractive to boys. Woody and Buzz are harder to meet now, Russell doesn't meet with Doug regularly anymore. Green Army Men don't do M&G anymore, they just come out and do activities with the kids. Leaving really Baymax as the main, regularly scheduled boy skewing M&G.

someone posted that Flynn and Rapunzel were out at Epcot today. Probably at one of the character trainings.

Considering neither are at Epcot it has to be training. Obviously many new friends are needed too, with the new meal starting.

True but DHS added a lot IMO.
