:earseek:  :sunny: :bounce: HAS ANYONE USED MY TRAVEL? WE HAVE PAID OUT OF THE PREMIER ECONOMY SEATS AS MY DH HAS LONG LEGS, I HAVE ONLY EVER FLOWN WITH VIRGIN WHO IN MY OPINION ARE EXCELLANT. I HAD HEARD THAT SANFORD AIRPORT WAS VERY GOOD FOR THE BRITISH BUT MAYBE A LITTLE FURTHER TO DRIVE TO ALL STARS. IS THIS SO. MY DH DOES NOT WANT TO DRIVE AS WITH HIS JOB HE DRIVES ALL OVER THE COUNTRY, SO A WELL EARNED BREAK IS NEEDED. ALSO I HAVE BEEN READING ABOUT SEAT ALLOCATION DO THEY BOOK YOUR ACTUAL SEAT WELL IN ADVANCE OR DO WE NEED TO GET THERE PRETTY EARLY, NOT GOING TILL OCTOBER BY THE WAY, BUT NEED TO GET ALL THESE THINGS IN MY MIND SO I CAN RELAY TO MY DH AS I PERSUADED HIM NOT TO BOOK WITH VIRGIN AS THIS WAS CHEAPER ESPECIALLY WITH THE EXTRA LEG ROOM, I THINK VIRGIN WAS ASKING OVER £400. EACH WHEN THERE IS 4 OF US THATS AN AWFUL LOT. I'M SURE I WILL HAVE A LOT MORE QUESTIONS IN THE PIPELINE, BUT THATS ALL FOR NOW,

We flew from Gatwick last October with My Travel and stayed in All Star Movies. This was our first time ever to cross the Atlantic and I am a very nervous flyer. We flew economy and the fllights both way were fine.

The only problem really was on the return journey as we were delayed at the airport for seven hours because something dropped off the aircraft on the flight to Sanford and they had to fly an executive jet to Atlanta to pick up a spare part. From what I have heard of other people's experiences in similar circumstances Sanford appears to be a better airport for we Brits in these circumstances as is offers better facilities than Orlando, although someone may be able to contradict me on this as I have no experience of Orlando airport.

We also did not want to drive and our transfer to ASMo was by 14 seater minibus which was rather uncomfortable to say the least as we were crammed in with 3 other families and all our luggage. On the way home the transfer was by a normal full size luxury coach.

This year we chose to travel with Virgin. Not that I was especially unhappy with the service provided by My Travel because I don't expect every aspect of my holiday to go without a hitch, but mostly because of their uncertain financial situation. Also we would like to have different experiences to compare.

I'm not sure that the facilities at Sanford are exactly better (in the way of eating and shops etc), in my experience Orlando International takes some beating on that front. But Sanford is quieter, and the car pick up is easier?

We flew back with My Travel last trip they were ok, I'm 6ft 2" a little cramped but no worst than others

Sandfords a doddle, quick in and out.

Hi

We flew with My Travel Premium Economy in 2001 and I thought it was really good. You can't book the seats until you arrive at the airport, but we just made sure we were early and had no problems. You get your own check in which saves a lot of time - you board the plane first and the seats are wider with more leg room, in fact they are quite comfortable.

We were lucky we had no delays as such and both flights were really smooth. Sanford airport is nice and if your plane is delayed on the way back or you just want to be away from the crowds there is a nice little area which is quieter has computer area for kids, shows a film and has a little bar I can't remember if some drinks were complimentary and I can't remember what it was called someone will help me out i'm sure but I thought for the small cover charge it was worth it.

Compared to Virgin economy My Travel PE is far better so enjoy!!

We flew with MyTravel last year - I thought they were ok, we had seat back TV's and leg room was average.
We were travelling with my brother who is disabled. he uses a wheelchair all the time and can;t walk at all. There was a bit of hassle getting him seated on the plane, even though I had pre-booked all the seats. Anyway, it turned out the only place they could seat him was in Premier Gold.......so he got a free upgrade!!! While we sat in the cheap seats.....he enjoyed it...especially the free drinks!!! ;)

As for Sanford, arriving in orlando I love it......it is so much quicker getting from the plane to the car. But going home I find the services a bit poor - not much to do, not many shops.

Cath:)

thank you all so much for your info sounds like i have done the right thing in booking for my travel!! it this guest house that I keep reading about at sanford airport that keeps the kids occupied especially if plane delayed, I have read it is about £10.00 each but do you have to book in advance or can you get to airport and then decide? thanks everso Lxx
