Flying with just carryon bag - questions

I will be leaving in about 24 hours to go on a solo trip to WDW for a weekend conference. Since it is just me and I will be arriving so late I am not planning to check a bag. When packing do I have to put my solid deoderant and Body Glide in the zip lock bag with my liquids? What about contact solution does it need to go in the liquids bag too? I think I read somewhere since it is "medical" that it doesn't have to go in the bag.

Anything solid--basically things that will retain their shape outside of their container--does not go into the 3-1-1 bag. Contact lens solution is exempt from the 3-1-1 limitations and can be carried on in containers larger than 3 oz. It should NOT go in your 3-1-1 bag, but you should tell the screener that you are carrying it and follow their instructions.

Thank you! That's what I was thinking but I just wanted to make sure. I'm not an experienced flyer and when I do fly I check my bags but I thought I would try not checking them tomorrow night.
