Flying standby on JetBlue

How do they deal with checked luggage? My family of 4 is headed down to Orlando at the end of this month. We have an 11:30 flight but we want to attempt standby on the 8:30 and 10:30 flights. We'll have 3 pieces of luggage to check. Does that mean standby won't be an option?

Did you check the website? Doesn't mention luggage, but it does look like your plan may be slightly thwarted "You may list for standby one flight prior to your confirmed scheduled departure." That's the immediately preceding flight. You might want to look into same day change instead.

Thank you! Guess we'll just get there early enough to try standby for the flight prior to ours. I did look at their website but I didn't see that info.

I have arrived at the airport, and asked if there was any chance I could get on an earlier flight. In Nov, I was told I could try for both of the flights prior to my scheduled flight. I have no idea what happened to my bag though. It was at MCO waiting for me. They may have put it on an earlier flight than the one I took.
