Flying Spirit - Hotels near ACY?

I will be flying Spirit for the 2nd time in October, out of Atlantic City. Since we live in Pt. Pleasant, we like to spend the night at a hotel near the airport.

Any suggestions for an inexpensive, clean hotels, near the airport, and within reasonable distance to a few restaurants, so we can have a good meal the evening before our flight?

Hi,
We've done the same thing the several times that we've flown out of ACY. Each time, we stayed at the Cardiff Econo Lodge.

The hotel is clean, the rates are reasonable, and each room has a full size jacuzzi tub. It's a short 15 min. drive to the Airport, too.

We usually check in and drop off the luggage in the room, then head to the Hamilton Mall, which is down the road, for dinner and to walk around.

Just a sidenote:
We've had nice stays there, but the last time(May of this year), our room was not far from the lobby, and close to the highway(Blackhorse Pike), which made for a loud & long night.
So it wouldn't be a bad idea to request a ground floor room away from that area.

Last year we stayed at a Holiday Inn Express, and it just seemed a little seedy to me, and I didn't feel 100% safe there.

The Econo Lodge looks perfect!
