I am beginning to plan wife and myself trip to Aulani early next year for a minimum of 7 days.

I have SW points and want to use the airline to get there an back.

I know flights might be changed/added by 2024, however, if I was going today for those that are SW experts, what would be my flight plan going and coming?

TIA

Depending on where you are coming from it might be hard to get there in one day. My husband is a SW pilot and we have flown other airlines to Hawaii for the convenience. We live in Orlando and it would be very hard for us to get to the West coast in time for the scheduled flights to Hawaij in one day. I would suggest playing around on the website to get an idea of the flight routes snd see how they change over the next few months. Good luck!

Southwest has flights from LA, Oakland, Vegas, Phoenix, San Jose, San Diego, and Sacramento. It looks like Oakland is the most frequent, with the last flight leaving at 3 pm. So you would need an early flight from Atlanta, but it's definitely possible.

I would just look at their low fare calendar... We are flying Delta from BWI thru ATL next month and if I plug in our specific dates and pretend we're departing from ATL it looks like it would route either thru Las Vegas or San Diego via Austin. The Las Vegas route options are less total time because the SAN route has 2 plane changes (I would avoid that option at any cost). The LAS total flight durations are somewhat reasonable (best times are 12-13 hours total) although they are longer than what we've booked departing from BWI (we're 13.5 hours total incl our flight from BWI and our layover in ATL). For some reason there were no return flights available on our return date which is a Sunday (perhaps they're sold out at this point because it's so close?) Just play around on the SW website with some dates to see what itineraries pop up. I doubt they'll change THAT much - but there probably won't be a ton of options.

We flew BNA-LAS-HNL last year and it wasn’t bad at all. Coming back, you’ll probably have to stay over 1 night on the west coast.

Just start to book a flight ATL -HNL. You'll see what connecting flights are available. From ATL youll connect in LAS or PHX.
