Flying question

I am flying my son down to join us for the weekend while we are in Disney. He will will be flying on Air Tran. He will not need to check in luggage. How early should he arrive at the airport, does it make a difference if he is not checking baggage? How early should he get to the airport to choose his seat? I bought him the cheap seat where you choose at check in, saved almost $200.00. What size baggage can he bring without checking it in? Can his bag have wheels? How is Air Tran? He is 18 and will be 19 at time of travel. He has flown befor with us and the university wrestling team. He is not worried about it, I of course am. Thanks for your help.

Have you checked the AirTran website for luggage information and check-in policies? I don't know their luggage restrictions, but I'm reasonably certain passengers can check in online 24 hours in advance and get their seats then.

As for getting to the airport, again, you might want to consider checking the airport website for recommendations how far in advance to arrive.
