Flying paperwork

If travelling inside the U.S., you'll need nothing for children under the age of eighteen. Adults will need a government-issued picture ID (driver's license, passport, etc.).

You do not need an ID for children under 16. All adults need a government issued picture ID. Best one is a passport of course.

Do I need any special ID for the kids???
Adults??

Children under the age of (oops, 16!) do not need photo ID to go through security. Some airlines have different rules about paperwork for children - Southwest requires a copy of a birth certificate for lap babies under 2 (to prove they are under 2 and therefore not required to have their own ticket).

Adults need valid, government-issued photo ID. This can be a driver's license, passport, or military or government ID.
