I'm afraid my aerosol sunscreen might explode if I pack it in a suitcase. I know it's not liquid so I am allowed to carry on a couple of bottles of spray sunscreen? Anyone have experience with either? (I am too cheap to buy it once I'm down there!!)

We pack the larger aerosol cans (Target brand) in our checked bags and then pack a couple of smaller travel size aerosol cans in our carry on luggage to use when we get there. (We use the Magical Express service, so it takes a while for the checked bags to get to the rooms.) I have never had any issues with the cans exploding.

spray sunscreen is a liquid (its liquid in the can). You should pick up a couple bottles of travel size if you want to carry it on. 3.4 oz or less

It won't explode - the baggage compartment is pressurized. There can be a small amount of leaking though, so put it in a plastic bag.

If you want to put some in your carry on, it must be less than 100ml.

If it is large, it needs to be checked. It can only be in carry-on if it's 3 oz or below.

We purchased several spray sunscreen from garden grocer with a delivery day the same as arrival day. We plan to apply sunscreen before we leave for the airport and then will have the bottles when we check in. But if checking it, definitely ziploc it and maybe tape it up.

We travel with spray sunscreen all the time. For a week in Mexico, I will pack 8 cans. I've never had any issues with it.

We zip locked ours and they were fine. We used Magical Express baggage delivery so I also packed a travel size in the carry-on for use until our luggage came...6 hours later.

It is a liquid, so any bottles you want to carry on need to be 3.4 oz or less.

I would put it in a ziplock bag and put it in your checked bag. They will take it once you try to go through security if it is in your carry on. My mother in law learned that one the hard way
