I have 3 people going to Universal Orlando and staying onsite. (Hotel to be determined)
My question is that 1st I will be arriving from Indianapolis. My sister will be coming out the same day but later from LAX.
Then my Mom is coming out a few days later.
How does that work with booking a hotel and express tickets?
I will probably be the one checking in with the reservations will be in my name.

make the reservation for the 3 adults, 1 room.
have a note listed on the ressie that 3 adults will be in the room but 1 person will checkin a few days after you and sis.

when you checkin first, let the TM know Sis will be checking in later that day.

you are the first that will check in.
your sister will also check in the same day.
mom comes few days later.

each person will check in to the reservation when they arrive at the hotel.
they will be given a room key card at that point.
then they will create the express pass with that hotel room key.

on the day the mom checks in, you will be paying $25 more per night for the add'l adult in the room.

don't book a package, just room only.
buy your tickets from UT or the UO website.

express pass is not linked to park tickets.
it is a hotel perk.

I would do it a bit differently. I would just book the hotel for the two people that are arriving first. You should be able to get keys for both your sister and yourself. When your sister arrives, she can get her express pass made with the key that you picked up. When your mom arrives, I would go to the front desk and add her to the room and get her key and have her express pass made.

I generally do the checking and and I always get the keys for everyone even though they are not standing with me in line.

By booking for only two people for the first two days, you are less likely to have them overcharge you and then have to deal with getting the charges changed.

if you get the hotel keys for the person that is arriving later that day, you will have to be back in the lobby to meet them.
you need to give them their hotel key for them to make the express pass.

sis is coming from LAX.
if she has airport delays, transportation delays from mco to the hotel, you won't know when she will arrive until you hear from her.

for me, it is easier to have the second person do their own check in so i could be in the park enjoying that first day, relaxing at the pool or spending time in city walk.
