I am asking this for a friend....really I am:)

Anyways, my co-worker is going to fly SW out of Buffalo and is taking her friends daugther with her, (she has a permission form notorizied) problem is they might not get her passport in time. Do you need a passport if you are a Canadian Citizen flying from the US to the US??? If not what other form of idenitfication do they require for a 15 year old?

Thanks

Kim

I'm going by what my son says and that is that if you are Canadian and flying out of the states you do not need a passport,,,,this was recently in the news.
However we are still applying for the passport as I would feel better traveling with it. I would have a

Birth certificate

Health card

School Idenity card

Social Insurance card

Permission to travel--notarized

And I would also look up the number for Passport Canada and call --it can't hurt.
She may get questioned when crossing the boarder from Canada to USA.

I'm sure others with more experience will reply.

Take care hugs

Passport will not be required for travel from the US ... to the US.

Make sure you have everything else. Birth cert and notarized permission to travel should be plenty.
