I just decided on this trip 2 days ago. I should probably book my airfare asap, right? Are they only going to go up between now and then?

Check the fares now. We are flying to MCO on Southwest May 6th out of PIT and got a fantastic rate of $115 per person! I also noticed that recently USAir was nearly matching this price at $118. I wouldn't wait, because the choice of flights greatly diminishes with these sales. And the rates certainly won't get any lower. Good Luck! :earsgirl:

I would check Southwest and then book your flights. Southwest may not be affected by the gas prices but the other airlines will.

I meant to say June 9 - 15. lol

Anyway, I changed the dates by one day (8-14) and got $98 on usair.

Don't hesitate to fly into Tampa. Prices are cheaper, and there is maybe a 45 min difference in travel time from Tampa aInt'l as opposed to MCO. I just figured this out and got my fare (using a DING) from 250 R/T per person to $141 (out of Philly in both cases)

Tampa Int'l is a little calmer that MCO too.

PS - I grew up ~5 miles from the Pittsburgh airport (in Aliquippa). Nice airport.
