Flying out of LAX on 9/11 - what time to get there?

I debated about putting this on the California board or here, but thought this seemed more appropriate. DH and I are flying to San Francisco on 9/11. Our flight leaves LAX around 4:30 (don't remember the exact time) - how early should we plan on getting to the airport? I'm assuming that security will be extra heavy that day.

We just flew in from LAX on Saturday, 8/19. We had a 12:55 pm flight. We arrived at the airport at 10:30 am and we're through the long Southwest line and security by 11:00. We had anticipated long lines and thought we were in trouble when we saw the size of Southwests, but even though the curbside line went on past two separate entrances and wound down to almost the end of the sidewalk, they moved it along quickly. Security into the gats was very quick - not even 5 minutes. I would say to just be preparted with easy to remove shoes, keep all liquids /gels / etc out of your carryons and you'll get through easy too. Good luck

It is no more of a heavy traffic day then ANY other day.
