We have a flight Saturday afternoon and have decided to drive down early Saturday morning. Just wondered if anyone else was flying out this weekend and what time you are giving yourself to get to the airport.

Has anyone experienced having to deal with a buffalo flight on a Canadian long weekend? Getting a bit anxious here...

I am very interested in this as well. We are flying out Monday around 5pm so i was thinking of leaving around noon (we are just east of toronto). I figure it would take 3 hrs max (usual would be 2 1\2 and I am thinking the border will be a bit busier). I am hoping I dont get surprised with 2 hr border wait!

:eek:

Our flight is saturday at 3pm and we're leaving here around 8am. I'm hoping that it's overkill and I'll be enjoying lunch at Olive Garden...:woohoo: before heading to the airport. Fingers crossed!

MEMEME We fly out of Rochester Saturday at 1pm - I'm leaving home at 6am which should hopefully get me across the border to Rochester by 9:30am with no delay's. IF all goes according to plan I will stop for an early lunch and do a bit of shopping before heading to the airport!

Happy travelling - 2 more sleeps!:banana::dance3::cool1:

We go to Niagara several times during the year. Live in Mississauga. The QEW has been terrible to drive on. Long weekends can be bad if you do not leave early. Backups around the Ford plant and again at St. Catherines. A lot of people head down that way on Sat and Sun around 10 am and there can be alot of traffic. I would give yourself some extra time.

Sitting here at the border since 9:30 and we're still not through...

Give yourself lots of time! Glad we did!!

Not sure if you'll see this but,what bridge were you at this morning? We are planning on Peace Bridge on Monday. Border Services says no wait at this time but I'm still nervous!

Checked borderwaittimes on the way to the border and the site said 35 min in queenston and 0 wait at peace bridge. So we went to the peace bridge - just under 2 hour wait - glad we gave ourselves enough time. Buffalo security was nearly empty!

Man that would annoy me - I was planning on checking the website as well to gauge wait times. Obviously it is not trustworthy! Glad you made it OK, have a great trip. :thumbsup2

We crossed at Fort Erie on Saturday at about 7:30am and didn't have any wait at all - had maybe 4 cars in front of us.
Coming home last night we crossed at the Niagara Falls bridge at 9pm and drove right up to the guard.... I think he was bored as he asked my 10yo all the questions and some pretty far out ones - it was a 'fun' crossing :rotfl::lmao:
