Flying ON Thanksgiving

Has anyone ever flown on Thanksgiving and if so how were the fares compared to what you usually pay?
I'd like to fly from Newark to Orlando next Thanksgiving Day and have to book soon(DVC), but if the fares are way higher, I'll just got the following week.

We flew out this past thanksgiving....I grabbed Airtran out of Philadelphia for $79 one way. We flew home the following Thursday and I believe it was $69

We fly down to Disney every Thanksgiving Day and have never found super fares. We are in Minneapolis though, not in your neck of the woods.

We just flew Thanksgiving Day from Philly. Didn't have traffic getting to the airport, went through security and checked our bags quickly - thought it was a decent day to fly!
I booked a $59 flight with Airtran back oh,April, May, June? Somewhere along that time frame, but was able to snag a good price back then by booking early.

It is cheaper to fly on a holiday. I know this is not the date you are looking for, but I got tickets from Pitts. to MCO on Christmas day and returning New Years Day for $79 each way. I bought them the day SW released the fares. I think you have a very good chance of getting a good price.

hi I just did this this yr I left on thanksgiven out of LGA and came bcak to EWR $ 119.00 round trip
