Flying on Delta? HELP

I am flying from Buffalo to NYC to MCO and on the way back MCO to ATL to Buffalo. I read on the Delta site that parts of the flight are opperated by Delta's partner carriers and that some only allow 1 checked bag per person?

I called Delta and they said 2 bags per person but I don't want to get to the airport and have issues. Has anyone had problems with this? Help

It won't be a problem. Two bags will be fine.

Some of the regional flights will only allow 1 carryon, including your personal item (not 1 + 1 personal item). I was on a CRJ on NW recently, I knew about it ahead of time so that I could bring a small purse that would fit inside my laptop bag. There were many women shocked that they could not bring their purse and small carryon (one had to be gate checked). Also, rollaboards will not fit on many of the smaller planes, you have to gate check them.

Gatechecking on the small planes is really cool. You drop the bag off on a cart near the plane or jetway as you board, they give you a pink tag. When you get off the plane, they bring a cart with the pink tagged stuff and you get it back. They still allow one carryon and one personal item, but the larger ones just won't fit on the smaller planes, so they provide this service. It's not the same as "gatechecking" on the bigger planes, you don't have to get your stuff at the carousel.

I am talking about checked bags. We are each bringing 1 carry on.

I fly those commuter jets all the time for work, often for conferences or trade shows where I have to check a box of "stuff" in addition to my bag, and always have been able to check 2 pieces.
