...if you can tell me the bast time to buy a lottery ticket. But seriously I just read an article last week that the worst day is Friday and better over the weekend. It's pretty much a crap shoot and I'm sure prices are adjusted (hourly) based on demand. I recommend buying when you can live with the price.
Thank you, I REALLY hate buying plane tickets, it seems so arbitrary with the pricing. I wish the price was the price, period. So annoying to have the price go up and down, up and down, with no rhyme or reason.

Depends on the airline as well. Southwest tends to drop at about the two month out time, unless they don't. I know that sounds bad but for our last five trips they have including our one last year in Sept., BUT I have seen them drop for a couple of hours and then go right back up again. Last year for our Feb. flight I checked them at 5:30 am and the price had taken a huge drop (Nearly $100) so I booked them but at 7:00 am when I went to show my husband they had increased again. It's enough to drive you crazy!
I usually book tickets for either JFK or LGA 8 weeks out and get great prices I use Delta o American. I have been doing this for over 5 years and have always gotten great prices
