Flying into Tampa--looking for any and all info :)

I went back several pages and couldn't really find much information about flying into Tampa. I'm looking for any and all details Rental cars at the airport? Travel time to WDW & is it an easy drive? That sort of thing--

We flew into Tampa last June.

I think Dollar, Hertz, Enterprise, Thrifty, Avis, and Buget are all onsite. You can check Tampa Airports website to make sure. After you get your luggage go right out the doors and you will see the rental car companies across the street.

I think it is 60- 90 miles to WDW. I don't remember exactly. I'm pretty sure it was at least an hour. I know all these Disney vets will know for sure.

It is a very easy drive. I don't remember highway names, but they will give you a map at the rental agency telling you how to get out of the airport. From Tampa to Orlando it is a straight shot on the interstate.

Easy drive, around 75 miles, not much more than an hour.

are there any hotels on the airport property? I didn't see any from the airport's website.

is this a drive that should be avoided during morning/afternoon rush hour?

There is a Marriott in the airport, many other hotels have a shuttle. If you want to save $ try PL or Hotwire.

I guess you should allow extra time during rush hour.
