Flying into Atlanta for a layover to MCO. Nervous with a question?

I changed flights once. Is the no fee just a one time deal?
I'm not sure. But it wouldn't be hard if you want to change flights, simply call Delta with the change and tell them you want to find out what the charge is before committing to the change.

Unfortunately I've seen that request ignored more than once.

If at all possible, sit near the front of the first plane. You need to get off as quick as you can. Your goal is to make it to your next gate. Do not stop for any reason. Use the restroom on the first aircraft if needed. Get to your gate, and then if you have time, you can get a snack or use the restroom.

I've done that short a connection thru Atlanta on Delta, and we had to haul it to get to our gate. And that was with the minor miracle of our first flight arriving early.
Flight attendants are only allowed to move about the aircraft on the taxiway for safety related duties. Connections do not fall into that catagory

I'm not following. Why would a flight attendant even be asked to move in the OPs case?

I was responding to the person who said that the flight attendant didn’t answer the call light while taxiing. They are not allowed to unless it’s a medical or safety emergency

Ah. You must have quoted the wrong person.

Most of the time when I have flown Delta or American, flight attendants have a list of people who have connecting flights and if they get the gate numbers they will announce them - like "Passengers connecting to these cities - Orlando, Gate D4 ; Boston, Gate C2" and so forth. Obviously (and they will state this) you'll need to double check when you disembark in case that has changed.

And often if I'm on a flight where there are tight connections because of a delay, they will encourage (though there is no way to mandate) other passengers to let those connecting to whatever city disembark first. Usually people comply, but there are always some special snowflakes who are not connecting who insist on getting off - usually the ones whose luggage barely fit in the overhead bin.

And you know that they aren't connecting, how?

Because we had landed in Miami and they'd been bragging loudly about their hotel in South Beach for the entire plane ride one particular case I encountered.

As others have said, get yourself to your new gate without stopping. If you have time after being at the new gate, then hit up the washroom, etc.
Good luck and have a wonderful time!!!!!
