Flying in late...where to stay cheaply for one night?

Our flight lands at 8pm. I'd rather not pay the cost to check-in to the Polynesian just to sleep, so I'm looking for a cheap hotel to spend the night near the airport.

Any suggestions?

Not sure what you mean by cheap, how many you have, etc. Try Priceline for the top star level in the MCO zone, maybe get lucky and win the Hyatt in the airport, or Marriott or Sheraton outside the airport. Always check the bidding boards first, TripAdvisor for reviews. FWIW.

We received the Hyatt in the airport via Hotwire for our first night. We get in at 11:30 so we definately wanted the Hyatt. Spent a bit more, but through betterbidding.com we pretty much thought it was the Hyatt.

On our way home, we bid 3* airport and received the Marriott Airport for $55

If you don't mind telling me, how much did you get the Hyatt for?

The Gator Motel on Irlo Bronson is only $27.95 a night, for a 2 double bed room.

Like I said, we paid a bit more of the Hyatt, but only wanted the Hyatt. IT was $76 on Hotwire

$76 is a lot less expensive the what the OP would be paying for a night at the Polynesian.

I was able to "Name My own Price" for the Hyatt at MCO. Our flight landed at 11 pm and didn't want to spend the $$ to stay at the BC for one night. I was able to get the Hyatt for $60 via Priceline. I checked info on biddingfortravel.com and betterbidding.com for info. I bid for a 3.5 star, but you could go for a lower level and get a nice hotel. I have previously stayed at the Amerisuites Northeast. That formerly was listed as 2 stars. I had seen bids accepted for $35 for those.

Agreed that the Hyatt was a lot cheaper than the Poly, but I meant it was more than you can pick up a room on Priceline. I too usually study betterbidding and biddingfortravel and have received the Hyatt for $45, but I really, really wanted the Hyatt since we are so late so I booked with Hotwire because I was 99.9% sure that the hotel was the Hyatt....and it was!:thumbsup2
