Flying home via LaGuardia

My daughter will be flying home via LaGuardia in October and will clear customs in Winnipeg when she lands. I read on an other thread that Canadians have to take their luggage with them to the Magical Express bus and check it themselves at the airport. Is that true? I can see it if they had to clear customs in Orlando, but just wanted to doublecheck since she's flying with two children and will have her hands full.

Yes it is true. If the final destination is not in the US, Magical Express cannot check the baggage nor can she get her boarding passes atthe resort. We use ME and travel through Newark all the time. ME will handle the baggage on arrival but for departure she will have to bring the bags on the ME bus and check in at the airline checkin desk.
