Looking for flights for April from Seattle and frontier seems to be the cheapest. Just wondering if anyone has flown with them and looking for experiences?? Not sure if the other airlines prices will go down or not but hoping (we usually fly the nonstop Alaska flight) Thanks!

We flew them once from our local airport back in 2014. The planes are smaller than other planes; seats are very close together. Our flight down was great but not so much on the way back. We had a 7-hour flight delay and were stuck at MCO because we didn't find out until we arrived at the airport. Some people received meal vouchers but some didn't (not sure why). There was no other compensation. I was really annoyed and would hesitate to fly them again. I've read that flight delays are really common with Frontier.

It also depends on your tolerance for aggravation and how much your time is worth.

They just changed their seats now the aisle and window seats are much smaller than before. NO leg room at all. You only get half of a tray table now. The back side of your seat is hollow on the back with a thin piece of foam and cloth cover

For better understanding read their facebook page !!!!!!! YIKES

My boyfriend and I usually fly Frontier and they did just change their seats, a bit smaller and what they call pre reclined which isn't reclined at all. Our flight is only like 2 hours so not too bad to deal with, if it was longer we would probably want more comfort.

I flew with them in October because they had ridiculously cheap rates for a last minute trip. I had no issues at all with the flight or service despite being nervous after reading reviews. They do charge extra for just about everything so you need to know that up front and determine if the rate is still good. The seats were not particularly comfortable but for a fairly short flight it wasn't an issue. I remember thinking if it was a 6 hour flight I'd probably feel differently.

I definitely plan to use them again but will also make sure to bring a neck pillow next time around. The seats were hard plastic, which I love for the easy to clean factor. Feels less germy. But not comfortable for sitting in for very long.

As others have mentioned the new seats are not comfortable at all. But for the price we have put up with them.
Make sure you price the ticket including all luggage since frontier charges for carry on bags and checked bags. Someone could easily spend more on luggage than they could on the airfare.
We fly frontier because military members can get two free checked bags and a free carry on. Flying from Denver to Orlando for $50 each way at the end of February, can't beat that price anywhere.
If you want to sleep on the flight I highly recommend paying to choose a window seat so you can lean on the wall since the head rests on the seat give no support.

I would stick with Alaska. Why go from one of the highest rated airlines in the business to one of the lowest. Alaska is the best run airlines in the industry. If you want to save money get their credit card and you can use the companion fare ticket to fly to Orlando for $119 round trip.

Alaska prices are usually high for anything east of Vegas. As for being the best run, well that's subjective.

We've flown them four times. Never had any issues with delays or any other problems. Wouldn't hesitate to use them again. Especially since they are the only ones offering non-stop flights to MCO from our airport.

Thank you everyone for your input. I think we will wait a little while more and see. It will be a long flight coming from Seattle so I'm a little scared of being so uncomfortable for so long.

On time performance and number customer complaints are not subjective. In both categories, Alaska always ranks right near the top. You don't get to be the best without having great employees and management. They must be doing something right as the airports they most frequently fly to have terrible weather, SEA, PDX, SFO, ANC. They manage to have an on time performance record that rivals Hawaiian. That is saying a lot since Hawaiian doesn't have the weather problems at their airports that Alaska does.
