We Fly in 4 weeks, with Monarch. We usually pre book our seats (me dh ds9)
this time we have not & I'm starting to worry. I know the seat config is 333 so don't think it should be a problem. We thought we would get to the airport about 3.5 hours before flying. What do you do? It does seem a bit of a rip off.

We've never paid to have seats tog & have always been OK. Have flown from Newcastle but it was several years ago

We have travelled with Monarch the last two years from Newcastle and have not prebooked seats (in fact have never prebooked seats). We have left Middlesbrough about 3 ish and got there 4 ish. Last year we were a touch too early and check in, had not opened.

We decided to sit in two couples and were just separated by an aisle. Coming back last year we sat in two two's behind each other.

I believe, as long as you get there early sitting together is not a problem.

We flew from Newcastle last year with Monarch without pre-booking seatings and we were seated together.

Also, my parents flew out in August with my brother and sister without pre-booking (the seat config was 333) and they were seated 2 in front 2 behind.

So long as you get there early there should be no problem :) Have a good trip :)

We've done that flight a few times and never had problems. I'd advise you to ask for seats away from the toilets though, There aren't many on that plane and the queues can be quite disruptive for those sitting near them.

Thanks Graeme. I was going to ask for a window seat, near the front. How far from the front do you recomend, to avoid toilets.

On our flight there were toilets both in front and behind us as well. Monarch have there own site and you can look at typical plane layouts on there. We were in the middle of the toilets going last year and more to the rear of the plane coming back.

I would say it was the first four or five rows that got it. Particularly after the seatbelt signs go out and then after the meal rubbish is cleared away. The back of the plane is 2-4-2 for about ten rows so if there's three of you that wont be an issue.
